Becoming A Pet In BDSM

Those that want to explore the dominance and submission roles of BDSM might find that the Master/Mistress and slave roles just don’t appeal to them. Instead, they want to have a sense of giving over power, but in a less authoritarian way. If this sounds like something that might appeal to you, it can help for you to think about how you might be a pet for someone else, or how you might have your slave become a pet for you. This role of being an animal versus a human will encourage the power dynamic to change, but without the need for calling anyone Master or Mistress.

What Kind of Pet Are You?

If you’re interested in the pet role, it can help to think about what type of pet you might be and what you might act like as a result. In doing so, you will begin to learn more about yourself, while also helping to see how you are changing the way that you act and look. For example, many people will see themselves as dogs, so they might begin to walk around the floor on all fours, or they might begin to use barking noises instead of talking. This will begin to create distance between the pet owner and the animal, and the more the pet can act as their chosen animal, the easier it will be to stay in that role.

The Responsibilities of a Pet Owner

The pet owner will need to make sure they are setting up clear rules as to how the pet should behave. This might include everything from having certain ‘tricks’ the pet needs to do to having a certain place where the pet might sleep and eat. The more that the pet owner can create a different environment for their pet, the more the power dynamic will be supported. The pet owner will also need to watch their pet carefully, especially when they first bring them how, to ensure that they are doing the things that they want their pet to do. It is up to the owner to also punish any bad behavior as quickly as possible, so the pet can learn from their mistakes and try to avoid those mistakes in the future.

Fun Ways to Show You’re a Pet

The pet scene can be a great way to stock up on toys that no one will suspect are for a human instead of a dog or cat. You can get collars and chew toys, as well as a pet cage and pet bowls from which the pet can eat. This sort of scene can become a lifestyle for some BDSM couples, allowing them to have these roles when they are together, but then they can put the toys away when they are not using them or in the actual scene. You might also want to encourage the pet to only sleep at their owner’s feet or they can only come when called, etc. The pet can also be pulled long by a leash when they are being moved from place to place, helping to show who is in charge and who is calling the shots in terms of their movement. Some couples have even gone so far as to have the pet stay outside, when they have privacy in their neighborhood.

With the pet scene, you can easily show that there is one person in charge of the other person. While not everyone is interested in this scene for a long-term relationship, this can be a fun way to establish roles in a new BDSM relationship, even if the scene only lasts over a weekend or week night.
