Nicki Minaj has just come out with a new music video that is filled with strong BDSM and fetish imagery. However, she is definitely not the first one and I’m positive she will not be the last. I have discussed this before as it seems most music stars seem to tap into BDSM at some point in their career. Madonna, Brittney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Rihanna have all done a BDSM themed music video and that is just to name a few. I’m sure I have missed a few in that list.
I must admit its gotten to a point where I’d be more shocked to not see a BDSM themed music video from a pop star at some point in their career.

It’s interesting how despite the fact that BDSM is still not accepted by many people in regular society and how even the British government is taking steps to ban any kind of BDSM/fetish porn, these singers are using it to attract more followers. What do you think this says about BDSM and our society?
